Baglung
River canyons, bungee thrills and the green hills of western Gandaki
Baglung is a river-canyon district in western Lumbini Province, centred on Beni, an adventure hub at the confluence of three rivers.
Beni's position at the meeting of the Kali Gandaki, Myagdi Khola and Ridi Khola rivers has made it a base for canyon activities including bungee jumping and rafting.
Baglung's green hills and river canyons form a scenic, adventure-oriented gateway between Pokhara and the Dhaulagiri region further north.

People & Culture
Baglung is home to a mix of Magar, Brahmin and Chhetri communities across its hillsides, with Beni's growth as a river-confluence transport hub drawing traders and adventure operators from the wider region. The district's farming villages continue much as they have for generations, even as Beni itself has grown into a base for rafting and canyon sports.
