Our Nepal treks, including Everest Base Camp, Langtang Valley and the Manaslu Circuit, are graded moderate: some hill walking of 4 to 5 hours a day, and regular exercise beforehand is recommended. Yes. A private trip is planned around you and your group only. You get your own dates, your own dedicated guide who travels with no one else, and a pace you set. We adjust the itinerary to your interests, arrange private transfers throughout, and our local team supports you for the whole journey. Private trips suit families, couples and groups of friends. To request one, use the Private Expedition form on any trip page, or contact us with your dates.

We give you 5-star hotel options in Kathmandu, Pokhara and the other cities and resort towns on your trip. On the trekking trail itself, nights are spent in teahouses and mountain lodges, the only places to stay on high routes. Each trip page lists exactly where you stay.

Choose your trip and date, then pay a deposit of SGD 300 per person to confirm your place. The balance is due 30 days before departure. Prices are per person, in Singapore dollars, for two people sharing; a room to yourself is shown as a single supplement in your quote. Read the booking terms.

Your booking confirmation tells you how to pay. Only ever pay using the details on our booking documents, and contact us at travel@hsj.sg or +65 8096 1243 if anyone sends you different payment details.

Whenever you cancel, your SGD 300 deposit stays with us as credit towards any future trip, and it does not expire. Cancel 30 days or more before departure and anything else you have paid is refunded in full; inside 30 days we refund it less a 20% cancellation charge. Singapore Airlines flies nonstop from Changi to Kathmandu in about 5 hours. International flights are not included in our prices, so you can use your own airline, miles or fare deals. Airport transfers and any domestic flights in your itinerary are listed on each trip page.

Yes, but it is simple. Singapore passport holders can get a visa on arrival in Kathmandu or apply for an eVisa beforehand. The fee is USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days or USD 125 for 90 days.

All visitors pay the Bhutan Sustainable Development Fee of USD 100 per person per night (until 31 August 2027). Children aged 6 to 12 pay half, and younger children are exempt. Your Bhutan visa is arranged through your tour operator, so we handle it as part of your booking.

Singapore passport holders can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days, but Tibet also requires a Tibet Travel Permit, which can only be arranged through a licensed tour operator. It takes about 8 to 10 working days, so please book early.

Yes. Singaporeans can apply for an Indian eVisa online, which usually takes 3 to 5 business days, and must arrive by air or through a designated port.

You trek with a licensed guide trained in first aid and altitude sickness, who carries a first aid kit and watches your pace, breathing and the weather each day. Every traveller must also have insurance that covers emergency helicopter evacuation at altitude. Why our guides matter.

Yes, travel insurance is mandatory on every trip. Your policy must cover medical treatment, emergency evacuation (including helicopter rescue at altitude on treks), personal accident and cancellation. See our insurance requirements.
