Gokyo Lakes Trek

The Gokyo route branches off the main Everest Base Camp trail toward a series of turquoise, glacier fed lakes rarely seen on the standard itinerary, ending with a pre dawn climb up Gokyo Ri for a summit view that includes four of the world's six highest peaks in one frame.

It carries noticeably less traffic than the Base Camp trail itself while reaching a comparable altitude and a view many guides rate above Kala Patthar's.
