Lhotse
The world's fourth highest mountain, directly connected to Everest by the South Col.
Lhotse rises to 8,516m immediately south of Mount Everest, connected to it by the South Col, and is the world's fourth highest mountain. Its main summit lies on the border between Solukhumbu district and the Tibet Autonomous Region.
Because it shares the same approach route and much of the same climbing history as Everest, Lhotse is visible for most of the upper Everest Base Camp trek, forming part of the wall of peaks seen from Base Camp and Kala Patthar.
