Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu temples in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as Pashupati — the lord of all living creatures. Located on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River in Kathmandu, it is Nepal's most revered religious site.The main temple, dating back to the 5th century, is built in the pagoda style with a gilded roof and silver-plated doors. The complex includes hundreds of subsidiary shrines, ashrams, and cremation ghats, making it a living center of Hindu devotion, philosophy, and ritual.
