The Ramagrama Stupa, in Ramgram (the district headquarters of Nawalparasi West), is one of the eight original stupas built to house relics of the Buddha after his cremation. Unlike the others, it has never been excavated or disturbed, making it the only Buddha relic stupa believed to remain in its original, intact state.
