Dhurkot

Dhurkot is a scenic hill settlement in Gulmi District, western Nepal, known for its historic fort ruins on a commanding ridge and sweeping views over the terraced valleys and distant Himalayan peaks. The area is typical of the beautifully rural western mid-hills, where traditional Magar and Gurung communities farm rice, millet, and maize on steep terraced slopes.The surrounding Gulmi hills offer rewarding rural trekking and village walks connecting to Tamghas (the district headquarters) and the Resunga Hill religious site.

Gulmi is where coffee growing in Nepal began. Seeds brought from Myanmar were planted at Aanpchaur in 1938, and the district is still one of the country's main arabica areas. Resunga Hill, the principal pilgrimage site of these hills, and the Bhagwati temple at Tamghas are both within half a day of Dhurkot by road.
