Bandipur is a beautifully preserved Newari hill town in Tanahun District, perched on a ridge at 1,030 metres above the Marsyangdi Valley. The entire bazaar street, lined with immaculately maintained traditional Newari merchant houses, has been pedestrianized and declared a heritage zone, making it one of Nepal's most charming and photogenic small towns.The town offers sweeping views of the Himalayan range from Dhaulagiri to Ganesh Himal, authentic Newari cuisine, artisan shops, cave exploration at Siddha Gufa (Nepal's largest cave), and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it an ideal 1–2 night heritage getaway.
