Modi Khola

Snow fed river draining the Annapurna Sanctuary, followed for most of the Annapurna Base Camp trek

The Modi Khola is a snow fed river that originates in the Annapurna mountains and drains the Annapurna Sanctuary, running roughly 50 kilometres before it joins the Kali Gandaki river. The Annapurna Base Camp trail follows the Modi Khola valley for most of its length, from Chhomrong through Sinuwa, Bamboo, Dovan and Deurali to the Sanctuary itself.
