Langtang Lirung
The highest peak of the Langtang Himal, towering directly above the Langtang Valley Trek.
Langtang Lirung rises to 7,234m in Rasuwa district, about 60km north of Kathmandu, and is the highest peak of the Langtang Himal. Though modest by 8,000m standards, it has an unusually large vertical relief, climbing roughly 5,500m above the Trisuli Gandaki valley floor in a horizontal distance of only 16km.
