View all 2 photos
River Wonders is a river-themed wildlife park on Mandai Lake Road in Mandai, northern Singapore, that opened as River Safari with a soft launch on 3 April 2013 and was officially opened by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 28 February 2014. The park was renamed River Wonders in October 2021, when Wildlife Reserves Singapore rebranded as Mandai Wildlife Group. Spread over 12 hectares, it keeps more than 11,000 land and aquatic animals from 260 species.
Walkways lead past exhibits themed on the great rivers of the world before reaching the Amazon section, where the Amazon Flooded Forest shows electric eels and giant river otters and the Amazon River Quest boat ride takes you past animals from the Amazon basin. The best-known residents are the giant pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia, on loan from China, who live in their own forested enclosure. The park opens daily from 9am to 6pm, with last entry at 5pm.
River Wonders sits within the Mandai Wildlife EAST precinct at 80 Mandai Lake Road, between Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, and the M2 Mandai Khatib bus from Khatib MRT station takes about 20 minutes.
