Bardiya National Park is the largest national park in Nepal's Terai lowlands, bordered by the Karnali River to the west and the Babai River running through its core. It holds Nepal's second-largest population of wild Bengal tigers alongside reintroduced greater one-horned rhinos, wild elephants and Gangetic dolphins. Together with the neighbouring Banke National Park, it forms the connected Western Terai Complex, one continuous wildlife corridor across both districts.
