Annapurna South

7,219m peak forming the southern wall of the Annapurna Sanctuary

Annapurna South rises to 7,219 metres and forms part of the southern rim of the Annapurna Sanctuary, directly connected to the neighbouring peak of Hiunchuli. First climbed in 1964, it is one of the closest big peaks seen from Chhomrong and the villages around Ghandruk, framed at the end of many valley views on the Annapurna Base Camp trek.
