Historic hilltop fort where Gorkha forces defeated British troops in 1767
Sindhuli Gadhi is a historic fort where, in October 1767, Gorkha forces under Khajanchi Bir Bhadra Upadhyay and Sardar Banshu Gurung defeated a British East India Company force led by Captain Kinloch. The site now also houses Nepal's first war museum, the Sindhuligadhi War Museum, opened in 2021.
