West Coast Park
50-hectare seaside park along West Coast Highway with a marsh garden and dog run
West Coast Park is a 50-hectare seafront park running parallel to West Coast Highway in western Singapore, which NParks calls the Play Centre of the West. The park is split into numbered areas along the coast, and its facilities range from an adventure playground to a large dog run, so it suits families, dog owners and cyclists more than sightseers.
Most visitors come for the adventure playground, the dog run or the barbecue pits, of which NParks lists nine, all bookable in advance. For quieter time, the marsh garden is a good spot for birdwatching: NParks names the White-breasted Waterhen and Striated Heron there, and Black-naped Orioles and Oriental Pied Hornbills also appear in the park. The West Coast Park Connector links the park to the wider cycling network, and three carparks serve the different areas. The park is open 24 hours, and the nearest MRT stations are Clementi and Haw Par Villa.
As of 15 October 2026, a section of footpath in Area 1 is closed for repairs, with completion expected by 31 December 2026, so some routes need a short detour.
