Api Himal
The highest peak of Nepal's remote far west, rising sharply over the Darchula lowlands.
Api Himal rises to 7,132m in Darchula district, Nepal's remote far northwestern corner near the international border, and is the highest peak in the Gurans Himal subrange of the western Himalaya.
It is a little visited mountain even by Nepal's standards, but rises dramatically over the comparatively low surrounding terrain. The existing Api Nampa Conservation Area point of interest, also in Darchula, protects the region around it.
