Parsa National Park

Parsa Wildlife Reserve is a protected area in the Terai lowlands of southern Nepal, bordering India's Valmiki Tiger Reserve. The reserve shelters tigers, leopards, elephants, and over 300 bird species within its sal forest landscape.Established in 1984, it forms an important wildlife corridor connecting Chitwan National Park and Indian forests, making it a vital conservation zone for Bengal tigers.

The reserve was upgraded to Parsa National Park in 2017 and now covers about 627 square kilometres after an eastward extension. It adjoins Chitwan directly, so the two are managed as one block for tigers, and the tigers here recolonised the forest from Chitwan rather than being introduced. The Tribhuvan Highway to Kathmandu runs along its western edge.
