Triyuga River

The Triyuga River flows through Udayapur District in the inner Terai of eastern Nepal, originating in the Mahabharat hills and draining into the Koshi system. The river valley provides excellent opportunities for kayaking, fishing for mahseer and other river fish, and riverside nature walks through sub-tropical forest. The Triyuga corridor is part of an important wildlife movement route between the Chure hills and the Terai, with occasional leopard, wild boar, and deer sightings along the banks. Gaighat, the district headquarters on the river bank, offers basic facilities for travellers.
