Attraction
Hile Bazaar
The lively ridge-top market town gateway to the eastern hills
Hile Bazaar is a vibrant trading hub in Dhankuta District perched at about 1,860 metres on the Dharan–Hile highway, serving as the main supply point for the eastern hill districts including Terhathum, Sankhuwasabha, and Taplejung. The Thursday and Sunday markets draw traders from across the Koshi hills, and the town's narrow lanes are lined with hardware stores, teashops, and colourful fruit stalls. Hile is a classic starting or ending point for trekkers returning from Kanchenjunga or Makalu, and the surrounding ridges offer excellent views of the Kanchenjunga and Makalu Himal ranges.
