Chandannath Temple is the most important religious site in Jumla District, a cluster of ancient stone temples in the heart of Jumla town dedicated to the Nath (Shaivite) tradition. The temples date back to medieval times and are among the finest examples of ancient stone temple architecture in western Nepal.The annual Chandannath Jatra festival draws pilgrims from across the Karnali highlands in a colourful celebration that is one of the most important religious events of western Nepal. The temples are a spiritual focal point for the entire Jumla valley community.
