Nuwakot Palace is a historic seven-storey palace fortress in Nuwakot District, built by King Prithvi Narayan Shah in the 18th century as a strategic military base during the unification of Nepal. The palace offers commanding views of the Trishuli River valley and the Himalayan peaks to the north.The complex includes several temples, the towering Saat Tale Durbar (seven-storey palace), and ancient walls that stand as testimony to Nepal's unification era. It is one of the most important historic sites outside the Kathmandu Valley.
