Cool hilltop retreat with Himalayan morning views
Kakani is a scenic hilltop viewpoint and weekend retreat in Nuwakot District, located just 29 km north of Kathmandu. At an elevation of around 2,073 metres, it offers beautiful views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks including Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli, and the Langtang range.The area is especially famous for its strawberry farms, peaceful pine forests, and as a starting point for gentle walks. It is also home to a memorial garden for those who perished in a tragic Thai Airways crash in 1992.
