Trishuli River
Glacial river running alongside the Prithvi Highway between Kathmandu and Pokhara
The Trishuli River rises in the high Himalaya and flows south through Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading districts before continuing into the Nepal lowlands. For much of its middle course the river runs alongside the Prithvi Highway, the main road between Kathmandu and Pokhara, its grey glacial water visible from the highway for long stretches through Dhading district, including at Malekhu. The river is also one of Nepal's most popular white water rafting rivers, with put-in points such as Charaudi used for day trips out of Kathmandu.
