Universal Studios Singapore
Seven movie-themed zones at Resorts World Sentosa, including Minion Land
Universal Studios Singapore is a movie theme park inside Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa island, and Sentosa's official site describes it as the only Universal Studios theme park in Southeast Asia. The park opened in 2010, and its first expansion since then, Illumination's Minion Land, broke ground on 26 May 2022 and officially opened on 14 February 2025. The park has seven themed zones, among them Hollywood, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away and Minion Land.
Minion Land is laid out in three areas, Minion Marketplace, Gru's Neighborhood and Super Silly Fun Land, and includes Buggie Boogie, which Resorts World Sentosa bills as the first Minion dance party themed carousel, and the Super Hungry Food Stand, both exclusive to this park. Sentosa's guide suggests most visitors need a full day of 6 to 8 hours to cover all seven zones, and notes that the Universal Express pass shortens waits on the busier rides. The park opens daily from 10am, with closing times that vary by date, so check the official calendar before you go; temporary attraction closures are also posted there. The nearest stop is Resorts World Station on the Sentosa Express monorail from VivoCity, and bus 123 and the RWS 8 service also run to Resorts World Sentosa.
