Singapore Oceanarium
Formerly S.E.A. Aquarium, rebuilt as a 22-zone oceanarium on Sentosa
Singapore Oceanarium is the aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa island, a transformation and expansion of the former S.E.A. Aquarium, which first opened on 22 November 2012. Resorts World Sentosa says the oceanarium is three times larger than its predecessor and spans 22 zones. Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu officiated at its opening ceremony on 23 July 2025, and it opened to the public on 24 July 2025. Sentosa's official listing puts the collection at more than 100,000 marine animals.
The route is arranged to move from shallow coasts to the deep sea and from prehistoric oceans to the present. Singapore's Coast recreates a mangrove with native species such as archerfish and barred mudskippers; Ocean Wonders holds one of the world's largest kreisel tanks, filled with moon jellies; Ancient Waters shows life-sized models of prehistoric marine animals; and Open Ocean keeps reef manta rays and zebra sharks behind a 36 m wide viewing panel, the centrepiece carried over from S.E.A. Aquarium. Sentosa suggests allowing at least 2 to 3 hours. The nearest stop is Resorts World Station on the Sentosa Express monorail from VivoCity. Hours vary by date, so check the official calendar before visiting.
