Tripurasundari Temple

Tripurasundari Temple is the most important Hindu temple in Baitadi District, dedicated to the goddess Tripurasundari — one of the ten Mahavidyas (great wisdom goddesses) in the Shakta tradition. The temple is a major pilgrimage site for the people of far western Nepal and draws devotees from across the Sudurpashchim Province.The temple's hilltop setting in the Baitadi highlands offers fine views of the surrounding far western hills, and its ancient architecture and living pilgrimage tradition make it one of the most spiritually significant sites in this remote corner of Nepal.
