FAQs

If you have a spare morning in Kathmandu, this is the easiest way to see Everest with your own eyes. A small propeller aircraft takes off from Kathmandu at first light and flies east along the Himalaya, coming within about 20 km of Mount Everest (8,849m) before turning back to the valley.

On these aircraft every seat is a window seat, and along the way you see Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam and, on clear days, Kangchenjunga. The flight takes about an hour, and you are back at your hotel in time for breakfast.

We add what the standard ticket leaves out: a private car to and from your hotel, and an HSJ host who handles check-in at the domestic terminal so you are not queueing on your own at 6am.
